FP&A Financial Systems Manager

Job Summary:
This is a very hands-on, but key, high-visibility position within the worldwide finance team. The candidate will be primarily responsible for the development, maintenance, and administration of NetApp’s worldwide financial planning and reporting application (‘Khalix’ by Longview Solutions). In addition the position will support other reporting tools and pan-FP&A processes and initiatives and act as a support resource to the various members of the worldwide FP&A and Finance team. It is anticipated that the candidate will hire a systems administrator within approximately six months of the hire date.

Essential Functions:
• The primary knowledge-expert of the Khalix application to support the worldwide FP&A organization. This includes a proactive approach to training (finance and business users), knowledge-transfer, documentation, learning tools, and support for the FP&A team. Partner with the FP&A team to understand their planning and forecasting processes and future-state needs; scope out new development requirements, and analyze, define, test, and implement new development activities in the Khalix application or other FP&A tools.
• Own and maintain FP&A’s toolset support model for the user community.
• Direct responsibility for all maintenance and administration of the Khalix application including, but not limited to data loads (actuals, headcount, salary, FX rates), hierarchy maintenance, user security, forecast rollovers, and allocations.
• Driving continuous process improvements in standardized FP&A reporting through automation and content quality, produce certain FP&A reports and metrics and dashboards, and improving and maintaining the FP&A website. Build metrics around the Khalix tool; Document existing and new processes;
• Direct responsibility for the maintenance and administration and any future development of our expense research tool that combines plan and forecast information from Khalix with detail transaction information from Oracle.
• As the FP&A group expands the level of reporting used or forecasting performed, work with the team to build the necessary process and development in our tool set.
• Key contributor to the extended finance and IT team’s systems roadmap strategy related to planning, forecasting and reporting tools.
• Liaise with the IT Business Applications team to drive process improvements and automation of data imports/exports.

Requirements:
• The ideal candidate would have most if not all of the following requirements:
• 5-10 years of professional experience in an FP&A or IT/Finance organization, preferably within the high-technology hardware or software sector.
• Demonstrated technical aptitude in financial systems development, support, reporting and automation AND support of/involvement with the forecasting, planning and close activities of a typical FP&A organization. Prior evidence of successful project and time management skills is highly desirable.
• A passion for building and implementing solutions around a technology platform.
• Experience in implementing and administering a worldwide financial planning software solution
• Demonstrated success of partnering with customers and driving solid, value-added results
• Systems experience desired: Khalix (or other multi-dimensional database planning software); Oracle; COGNOS; Business Objects; Hyperion; Adaytum; advanced use of Microsoft Excel including pivot tables, macros, data transformation)
• Experience with or exposure to programming languages (SQL, Visual Basic, etc)
• A proactive, results-oriented, problem solver. Ability to work in a very fast paced environment where time management and multi-tasking are a must.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Team player and positive; results-oriented.
• While training will be provided to the candidate, looking for someone who will quickly be able to operate with relative independence with minimal supervision.
