Title: Director of Finance
Location: Corporate Headquarters - Sunnyvale, CA
Job Summary:
This position will be responsible for and play a key role in providing financial leadership, analysis and support for several focus areas within the company’s corporate FP&A group. Areas of focus and responsibility will include, but are not limited to, M&A support, balance sheet and cash flow analysis and modeling, corporate planning support, business model modeling & analysis, business metrics, peer benchmarking, management reporting support and special corporate level projects.
Essential Functions: Provide analysis and support of company’s business model portfolio
Support and direct the monthly financial close and forecasting process from a corporate FP&A perspective
Provide leadership and support of the company’s financial planning processes.
Provide business model analysis, modeling and support of M&A activity
Development and ongoing analysis of an integrated balance sheet forecasting model
Analysis and reporting of company metrics and benchmarking
Support of management reporting to enable business decisions
Provide corporate level decision support and business management
Corporate level projects that would span many different areas
Requirements:
Demonstrated financial leadership in financial planning for a $1B+ hi-tech hardware/software company
10+ years of relevant business experience including people management
Solid analytical skills and the ability to effectively span hands on detailed analysis through strategic problem solving
Approaches assignments and problem solving with business acumen and a “big picture” orientation
Strong leadership, communication and influencing skills across multiple levels are required
Previous experience with balance sheet modeling and analysis
Experience with corporate level financial planning, analysis, processes, and reporting
Prior M&A support is highly desired
Effective communication and interaction skills with senior corporate management (CEO, CFO, EVP, etc)
Strong understanding of all P&L and balance sheet activities, including accounting transactions and GAAP
Highly driven individual with a demonstrated results orientation
Able to quickly ramp and provide proactive hands on ownership of responsibilities
Demonstrated ability to establish and quickly build relationships throughout an organization
Education:
Minimum of BA/BS in Finance or related field, MBA and CPA/CMA highly desired
