Our concern is finding that high level tax professional who can navigate through the complex multi- state tax issues for the individual and their applicable entities”


Job Title: Tax Manager
Location: Los Angeles, 90025
Salary Range: to $115K+ per year/DOE

Education/Skills:

• Bachelors degree in accounting (Masters in taxation preferred) from U.S. University.
• CPA or Enrolled Agent
• Minimum 5-7 years experience including tax planning and compliance (primarily U.S.) for individuals, S-corp’s, partnerships, trusts and other closely held entities.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Proficient in Excel, Outlook, Word, tax planning and preparation software (Computax ProSystems preferred).

General Responsibilities:

Performs various accounting and tax compliance projects primarily involving financial management for high net worth and entertainment/music industry clients.
Duties:
* Guides management's tax decisions by examining and discussing tax consequences of various financial options; recommending optimal course of action.

* Determines impact of management's tax decisions by computing taxes.

* Recommends strategies to minimize tax liability by studying tax regulations; searching out and evaluating tax options.

* Prepares multi-state federal, state, and local tax returns by collecting, analyzing, and formatting financial information.

* Remits tax payments by requesting disbursements.

* Complies with multi-state federal, state, and local tax requirements by studying existing regulations; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions; filing required financial and related information.

* Maintains knowledge of tax requirements by studying new tax regulations and directives; obtaining tax opinions and interpretations; attending tax seminars; studying proposed tax legislation.

* Prepares special tax reports by collecting and analyzing financial and related information.

* Reconciles tax discrepancies by collecting and analyzing financial information.

* Represents the organization at tax hearings by providing financial information; arguing the organization's position.

* Secures tax information by completing data base backups.

* Maintains customer confidence and protects operations by keeping tax information confidential.

* Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Supervise staff as required.
