Job Title: Senior Staff Accountant
Location: Los Angeles, 90025
Salary Range: $50-60 per hour DOE
Summary: Extensive experience in tax prep, review and planning for high net worth individuals with MULTI STATE tax requirements. Our firm is entirely comprised of entertainment industry individuals and the majority of them have corps, s-corps, partnerships, llcs and estates/trusts. Our concern is finding that high level tax professional who can navigate through the complex multi state tax issues for the individual and their applicable entities
Education/Skills:
Bachelors or Masters degree in accounting or taxation from U.S. University.
CPA with minimum 5-7 years experience including tax planning and compliance (primarily U.S.) for individuals, S-corps, partnerships, trusts (and other closely held entities).
Experience with International tax issues preferred.
Involvement in compilations, reviews, audits.
Active California CPA license preferred.
Experience with financial statement preparation and cash management skills.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills.
Proficient in Excel, Outlook, Word, tax planning and preparation software (Computax ProSystems preferred).
Must be resourceful, able to multi-task, and able to work relatively independently to fulfill assigned duties and achieve goals.
General Responsibilities:
Performs various accounting and tax compliance projects primarily involving financial management for high net worth and entertainment/music industry clients.
Supervision of comprehensive bookkeeping and record keeping practices,
Maintains effective communication with assigned Partner and keep informed of any circumstances affecting client business and/or preventing timely and accurate completion of client service responsibilities, or possibly affecting client business relationship.
Endeavors at all times to protect the confidentiality of information pertaining to the activities of CBGT, Inc., its Clients, Officers and Employees.
Ensures communications with client, client contacts, vendors and other third parties are conducted with the utmost professionalism, courtesy and respect, and as efficiently as possible
Makes recommendations to management regarding possible improvements to company policies and procedures as they affect the quality and efficiency in providing services to clients. Participates in meetings with this objective, as called upon to do so.
Monitors bookkeeping practices to ensure timely and accurate recordation, classification and reporting of financial transactions. Reviews coding and backup to checks for both accuracy and for special issues whether insurance procurement, budgetary or cash flow concerns.
Monitors cash flow to help ensure appropriate short-term and long-term investments and liquidity is maintained.
Performs various accounting analysis of general ledgers, financial statements, and similar records.
Maintains schedules as relevant to particular client activities.
Assists in managing purchase or sale transactions for clients major assets.
Assist in managing financial aspect of client remodeling or construction activities.
Assists with insurance procurement and review for adequate coverage in consultation with brokers.
Performs other tasks as requested from time to time by Partner, Manager or Principal, of which the above is representative.
