This is an entertainment production company located in Santa Monica that has just received $1 billion (yes, $1 billion) in funding. They are growing in leaps and bounds and is looking for someone who can fill this challenging position:
Position: VP, Corporate Accounting
Salary range: $120,000 to $150,000
Degree required: Bachelors in Finance, Accounting or related field
License required: CPA
Job Description:
Monthly financial statement preparation including multi-company consolidations in accordance with GAAP
Preparation of operating budgets and forecasts
Prepare internal management reports, as well as external reporting to investors, Board and joint venture partners
Review internal processes and implement improvements/enhancements to streamline financial reporting
Oversee annual financial statement audit
Position reports directly to EVP, Finance & Operations
Supervise staff of 5 to 6 employees
Job requirements (knowledge/skills):
5+ years accounting/finance experience, entertainment background preferred
CPA required
Excellent organizational and communication skills
Extensive experience with financial accounting software, Platinum preferred
Strong financial report writing skills, FRX preferred
Experience with database/external subsystem interfaces to financial accounting package
Sarbanes Oxley compliance knowledge
